About the Artist:
Ivo Saliger (1894-1987) was a 20th century artist from Austria known for his painted works and etchings. He studied art at both the Academy of Vienna and Academie Moderne in Paris. He wove Art Deco themes and elements into his art in a strong and powerful way. During World War II as Austria was occupied, Saliger was forced to create art that supported the Third Reich. After the war, he was once again free to create his own art.
