This pair of candlesticks by A. H. Heisey & Co. has their moongleam pink hue. On round bases, cherubs hold up the candle cups. Heisey glass is renowned for their glass formula and high quality of raw materials used. These two factors are enhanced by finished-fire polishing and grinding that creates a brilliant finish to their pieces.

    About the Manufacturer:
    Augustus H. Heisey (1842-1922)
founded A.H. Heisey  & Company in 1893 in Newark, OH because of the ample amount of local support and natural resources. Heisey had gained great experience in the glass industry under his father-in-law George Duncan, founder of Geo. Duncan & Sons. Known as the best glass salesman on the road, Heisey was smart to mark all of his glass and advertise in national magazines as early as 1910. Heisey was known for making such fine pressed glass that it appeared to be cut. E. Wilson Heisey took over after his father’s death in 1922, pushing the limits of the company and innovating most of the colored glass that is popular with today’s collectors. T. Clarence Heisey took over after his brother’s death, reviving colored glass once again. The war years seriously impacted the glass industry worldwide, and A.H. Heisey & Co. did not open their doors back up after Christmas vacation in 1957.

This pair of candlesticks is one of hundreds of pieces of glassware that are available at our location in Grandview! Come in today and see the full collection.
